The PR Student
Hello fellow PR students out there! I am Brittany Pattermann. I have a more unique path compared to most PR students that I know. I am a junior at UWW majoring in international studies with a public diplomacy emphasis (this is where PR comes in). I also have a minor in legal studies. I have a lot of big goals in life that I am determined to reach. I am a very outgoing person and am very confident in myself. This summer I will be going to school in China as part of my major. After my undergraduate at UWW I plan on going to law school. I have already visited a few and am hoping to get into Madison. In law school I plan to study international law and after I am finished with my three years of law school I plan on applying to the FBI and Department of Homeland Security. I love traveling and am open to many other careers besides the FBI and DHS. I can start applying at 23 so in order to get through school as soon as possible I have been taking an overload of credits each semester. This semester I have 23 which puts me a year ahead. I love UWW but am very excited about law school and cannot wait to start! I look forward to chatting with everyone this semester and learning more about you!

Wow Britt, you have a lot going on! I think you are well on you way to achieving all your goals, both in school and your career. Studying in China sounds like it will be an amazing experience, I hope to be able to travel abroad someday. Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteI can’t imagine studying in china that is such a great experience! My roommate also plans on going to law school and she tends to overload on credits! You sound very determined!
ReplyDeleteBrittany, wow I thought I had a lot going on with going to school on the weekends on top of Whitewater. But damn, you are crazy busy! I bet that you stay out of trouble since your so busy. With taking an overload of credits every semester, I have one question for you. How has that affected your social life and social experience that you are also paying for in tuition? I think that it is amazing you have such big aspirations in life. When I was younger I thought about maybe pursuing a career in the FBI, however I decided in a different direction. I have a lot of respect for you for wanting to help and protect people. It takes a rare breed of person to want to pursue a career where your life is in danger at any moment on the job. I wish you the best of luck in school and your career!
ReplyDeleteP.s. It was nice meeting you at the bma event and chatting a little bit!
The other Brittany! lol You are going to be very sucessful one day! The fact that you are taking 23 credits in one semester shows me that you are determined which is great and that you are trying to get out of here. I like the fact that you basically have the next few years of your life planned out already... I wish I was at that point but I am still trying to find myself lol. Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteTo everyone-thank you very much for the wonderful comments!
ReplyDeleteTrent-social life....haha, well I am not sure how I do it (I think I probably plan way too much) but I make it a must to see a friend or friends at least one night a week. My friends are very important to me. Also, if I am not busy I am usually on the phone catching up with friends. As far as the going out aspect I do not typically go out much. I guess I could call myself a nerd because I am in honors classes and I have made most of my regular classes honor classes so I have really shyed away from going out because I don't want it to have any negative affect on my schooling or future. Pretty much all of my free time is spent playing volleyball on a league with my closest girlfriends or with my family. My family is the most important part of my life. I hope that answers your questions! Maybe see you out sometime, it will be a rare occasion for me! haha
